These are the instructions for use of the blank silver
talismans which can be ordered here.
Figure 1-Ruler with Masking Tape
The first step is to decide what sort of talisman
you wish to make, e.g. planetary, Mansion of the Moon,
fixed star, etc. This will dictate the image, table,
characters, sigils, etc. that you place on the talisman. This is explained in great
detail in my Astrological Magic Course.
Many users will wish to make planetary talismans so I will these for the example.
The simplest type of planetary talisman is one made
using the kamea or tables of the planets. These tables can be found in Book II,
chapter 22 of Cornelius Agrippa's Three Books of Occult
Philosophy. The table can be done using either numbers or Hebrew letters as you
prefer. I usually put the table on the front of the talisman and the seal
and sigil of the intelligence of the planet on the back of talisman, omitting the
sigil of the spirit. I also add on the back of the talisman the goal for which I
am making the talisman.
Once you have determined the design you wish to use on
the talisman, you need to pick a time, called an election, for the making of the
talisman. This is a key part of creation of astrological talismans. For planets
we can use the planetary hours. Again
complete instructions for astrological timing of talismans are found in my
Astrological Magic Course.
Figure 2-Talisman on Ruler
At the time of the making of the talisman you will want
to have your materials already prepared as well as being ready to perform a consecration
ritual. You can use a ritual that is part of the tradition you already practice.
My Astrological Magic Course includes
both basic and advanced talisman ritual.
At the elected time you inscribe the blank silver talisman
with the table, sigils, characters or other appropriate design that you have chosen
and then do a consecration ritual. To inscribe the talisman you will use the
diamond tipped stylus included with the blank talisman. It looks very much like a ball
point pen, but has a diamond tip for drawing on metal and other hard surfaces.
To hold the talisman for the inscription,
I wrap a ruler with masking tape with the
sticky side out. See figure one above to right.
Simply place the blank talisman on the sticky masking tape
and then you can easily inscribe your desired design on the talisman. See figure
two above to right. Then do the consecration ritual.
