he second way to choose a talisman is to pick appropriate talismans for your birthchart. Basically we choose talismans whose planets are strong in your birth chart to give you their natural effect strongly and talismans whose planets are weak in your natal chart to strengthen their natural effect. We avoid planets that are afflicted in your chart because you can have an "allergic" reaction to them. Whatever their placement or rulership in your birth chart planets primarly give their natural effects through their talismans and their natal placement or rulership only secondarily.
If you are familiar with traditional astrology you can check your birth chart as follows:

• Talismans will give a strong effect if the planet is dignified in its sign, exaltation or triplicity, in your natal chart. For example, Jupiter in Pisces, his sign, in your natal chart means Jupiter is an excellent talisman for you.
  
  
• Talismans in which the planet is afflicted by being in fall, detriment, combust or retrograde in your natal chart, are "yellow flags". Use these talismans with caution. Some people get good results with talismans of planets afflicted in their natal chart, others have problems. It is a good idea to do a divination (I ching, tarot, etc.) first before using these talismans. For example, if your Saturn is in Aries, his fall, in your natal chart, you need be careful using a Saturn talisman. If a planet is afflicted in your natal chart you can do planetary charity to help with the problems it causes.
  
  
• Planets in any other placements in your natal chart other the specific dignities or afflictions list listed above are fine as talismans. The dignities and afflictions listed above are the only ones we consider with talismans, even though there are many other types of dignity and affliction in traditional astrology. For example, planets in particular houses or making particular aspects are not a problem if you wish to use them as talismans.

Talismans for Wealth & Good Fortune

There are a number of different talisman available for wealth. The best planet for wealth is Jupiter, the ruler of prosperity, wealth and good fortune. The fixed star that is the best for wealth is Spica. Spica is the bright star in the sheaf of wheat in the constellation Virgo and is associated with the harvest. Other excellent wealth and good fortune talismans are the Triple Tree of Wealth talisman as well as the 2nd Libra Face talisman. Finally, Mercury, is good for wealth, in particular wealth associated with business, communications, sales, marketing, the Internet and high tech.
The most powerful wealth talisman currently available at Renaissance Astrology is the Fountain of Wealth talisman. This is a house based talisman from the ancient Arabic grimoire, the Picatrix. This talisman has a birth chart just like a person with a strong Jupiter and Venus ruling wealth, fame and success. The conditions that this talisman was made under will not be able to be replicated for many years if at all.
The Love/Wealth talisman is also excellent for wealth, combining the power of 3 exalted planets, this talisman is unusual in also combining magical power for both love and prosperity. These are house based talismans from the ancient magical text, De Imaginibus. Here are the Large Love/Wealth, Small Love/Wealth talismans and Love/Wealth rings.
Another good choice for wealth is the 7th Lunar Mansion for wealth, wisdom and "all good things." This is available in Silver 7th Mansion Talisman , White Bronze 7th Mansion Talismans and Glass 7th Mansion Talismans .

Our traditional sources do not list any planets specifically for curse protection. Here is more information about traditional curse and curse detection. There are several fixed star talismans that are made specifically for protection against curses, witchcraft, evil magic and evil spirits. The Algol fixed star talisman are our MOST POWERFUL spiritual protection talisman and work by reversing evil spells and spirits against the person who sent them. There are Silver Algol and Bronze Algol talismans. Also excellent for spiritual protection are the talismans of Antares and Vega.
The Alkaid fixed star talisman protects against both spiritual and physical attack. An excellent all around protection talisman!

Health Talismans

An excellent talisman for health is the talisman of the Sun since the Sun is the heart of the Solar System and provides life and energy to all things on Earth. The talisman of the fixed star Capella is good for enthusiasm and calm. The talismans of Saturn & Saturn magic rings are excellent for longevity and long life.
