These talismans are very unusual because they are exaltation degree talismans. First, the dignity of exaltation itself is particularly associated with power, kingship and rulership. The medieval Italian astrologer Guido Bonatti says that a planet in its exaltation is, "...like a man who is in his own kingdom, and in his own glory like a kingdom, dukedom or podesta..." Liber Astronomiae, Tr II, ch. 40. The medieval Arabic astrologer Masha'allah says that, "...exaltations are of greater authority in matters of [kingship]; to wit, if something is done by a king, the lord of the exaltation is stronger in signification than the [sign] ruler." These are unique talimans that bring the power of exaltation to its maximum because they are made not only when the Sun is exalted in Aries, but at the special exaltation degree. For the Sun this is the 19th degree of Aries, which is from 18 degrees 0 minutes of Aries to 18 degree 59 minutes of Aries.
Our mage/jeweler Muhammed Ajmal, an expert in Sufi magic, says: The front design of the talisman comes from the Irani-Arabic traditions and uses multiple traditional mystical Alphabets which are linked to 7 Divine Names of Allah and to the seven planets. Around the edge are a special arrangement of these mystical letters called Talism HAR which is used for health and life force. This talisman is made in the Sun's Exaltation degree which is particular strong for Wealth, Fame and Health. The back of the taisman is blank.
In addition to the special powers of the Sun's exaltation, the Renaissance mage Cornelius Agrippa says that a Sun talisman, "...renders him that wears it to be renowned, amiable, acceptable, potent in all his works, and equals a man to Kings, and Princes, elevating him to high fortunes, enabling to do whatsoever he pleaseth:..." Three Books of Occult Philosophy, Book II, chapter 22.
The Sun also has a traditional association with health as he rules "the vital spirits", William Lilly, Christian Astrology, page 576, and thus these Sun talismans are useful for promoting and maintaining good health. Plus the Sun rules gold, Christian Astrology, page 72, and is good for wealth and prosperity.
The Sun talismans were created with the conditions shown on this chart, 12:09 pm April 8, 2022 in Islamabad, Pakistan. Those conditions are that the Sun is in the 19th degree of Aries, which is from 18 degrees 0 minutes of Aries to 18 degree 59 minutes of Aries. As a bonus the Sun is not only exalted (+4) and dignified by triplicity (+3) but also dignified by face (+1), a super +8! AND the Sun culminates AND it is Sun hour! WOW! Surprisingly powerful for Sun exaltation talisman!
I am pleased to offer these beautiful oval red agate in sterling silver setting talismans of the Sun in his exaltation degree. Including the setting they are 1.5 inches wide, 1.25 inches high and weigh 15 grams, a bit more than half and ounce. Note, agate varies in color and can have natural flaws and occlusions and agate stones may be loose in the setting.
