The JF translation speaks of glasses, ie, looking glasses, while the Latin critical edition of Three Books of Occult Philosophy removes any residual doubt by referring to speculis, mirrors. So not only are these Mercury magic mirror talismans authentically made, but they also contain an authentic planetary table of Mercury from Agrippa. Agrippa says of the Mercury table used on the mirror, "it renders the bearer thereof gratefull, and fortunate to do what he pleaseth: it bringeth gain, and prevents poverty, conduceth to memory, understanding, and divination, and to the understanding of occult things by dreams."
